We at AOI have a well developed background in independent cinema. Two members participate in the Sundance Institute’s Filmmakers Lab every year, giving back to the independent community through donating their skills. The other two continue to research and follow the latest trends in the indie world. As a result, we focus heavily on the future of independent cinema.
We at AOI provide you with an award winning Director of Photography, a uniquely creative Director of Story, an innovative Director of Sound and a well accomplished Producer. With connections and crew in Los Angeles, New York, Austin, Orlando, Salt Lake City and Phoenix, we can easily shoot anywhere in the United States. And when it comes to post production and exibition, we even have a well developed knowledge in the most current forms of self distribution and marketing. We are proud to say that we are on the forefront of the golden era of independent cinema.
When it comes to photography, we have shot with various cameras. The RED is one of our favorites because of the options of lenses to the latitude the data provides for color timing. We have the computing power to process the 4k and 2k footage with our sixteen core g5 and Final Cut software. The Sony EX3 seems to also be a favorite among independent filmmakers. We have experience shooting the EX3 in many situations and weather conditions, and can quickly process the EX3 footage. A new trend in the indie world of filmmaking is the Canon 5D and 7D. We also have developed a vast repertoire in using these cameras with the wide variety of lenses, filters and audio solutions.
When it comes to audio for your narrative piece, we have all the tools on standby. From out high end shotgun microphone and zepplin to our collection of wireless microphones and lavalieres, we have every tool necessary for narratives. We even have a specialist in audio on our team, so you know your audio will be solid and clean.
AOI is also set up to edit picture, create sound designs and color time your short or feature. We love to follow projects from production to post-production to distribution.
